The jointing clamp has a main shell and a counter shell with a first jaw fixed to the main shell and a second jaw linked to both shells. A lever is linked at its ends between the two shells. At least part of the jaws is straight and the surfaces of the jaws lie flat against one another when the clamp is closed. At least one semicircular depression is arranged in the surface of each jaw, so that when the jaws are together they form a circle.
