PURPOSE: A multi-component composite membrane for a polymer electrolyte, its preparation method and a polymer electrolyte system are provided, to improve the permeability by allowing the size of pores to be controlled. CONSTITUTION: The multi-component composite membrane comprises two active layers; and a support layer formed between the active layers. The support layer is made of at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of high density polyethylene, low density polyethylene, linear low density polyethylene, polypropylene, high crystalline polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymer, ethylene-butylene copolymer, ethylene-hexene copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, styrene-butylene-styrene copolymer, polystyrene, poly(phenylene oxide), polysulfone, polycarbonate, polyester, polyamide, polyurethane, polyacrylate, poly(vinylidene chloride), poly(vinylidene fluoride), polysiloxane, polyolefin, ionomer, poly(methylene pentene), hydrogenated oligocyclopentadiene and their copolymers and derivatives. Preferably the support layer has pores with a size of 0.001-10 micrometers, and its thickness is 1-50 micrometers; and the active layer has pores with a size of 10 micrometers or less, its thickness is 0.01-25 micrometers. The polymer electrolyte system comprises the multi-component composite membrane; and a liquid electrolyte containing a salt and an organic solvent.
