MAGNETIC TRANSFERRING METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic transferring method by which an information signal such as a servo signal is magnetically transferred from a master carrier to a slave medium while the quality of the signal is enhanced by reducing such a signal missing region as is caused by the poor adhesion between the master carrier and the slave medium due to adhered materials. CONSTITUTION: In this magnetic transferring method, the information-carring master carrier 3 and the slave medium 2 are adhered closely to each other to carry out magnetic transfer by applying a transfer magnetic field. An elastic member 4 is interposed between the carrier 3 and the pressing surface 5a of a pressing and supporting member 5 disposed on the back face of the medium 2. The member 4 consists of a material having the elastic characteristics to be deformed correspondingly to the surface shape of the medium 2 when adhesive pressure is applied and restored to its original surface before the adhesive is press-applied when the medium 2 is torn off from the carrier 3.
