The present invention relates to a thermoelectric electron extractor intended for thermoelectric power generation comprising a first thermal reservoir for induction of a first temperature and a second thermal reservoir for induction of a second temperature, wherein the second temperature is relatively higher than the first temperature. A thermo-electric element comprising a thermoelectric material is coupled to the first and second thermal reservoirs and a first electrical circuit connects the thermoelectric element to at least a first load. A switching means for automatically switching between the first load us respectively serially connected to the thermoelectric element so that an electrical current is applied to the load, and the first load is being disconnected from the thermoelectric element, wherein the swithing means is adapted to switch periodically with a switching frequency.
