<p>The present invention relates to processes for delivering an expression cassette, comprised of a linear nucleic acid capable of expressing a gene or partial gene, and expressing the gene or partial gene. The linear nucleic acid is delivered to the host, where the nucleic acid transfects host cells resulting in expression of the encoded gene product. This invention allows the encoded gene product to be expressed for long periods of time.</p> |
