Ignition state is registered by at least one controller. In the case that a function should remain active or be activated with ignition switched off, a command is sent from function-initiating control units to the allocated function-implementation control unit, within an interval TS. The command is stored intermediately and locally in the function-initiating control units and the bus system is switched off, until a condition for switching on is fulfilled. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding bus system.
