PURPOSE: A system and method for managing mileage through communication is provided to extend the field of application of the mileage by managing mileage according to customers' requests on line or off line, and by providing services for all sorts of mileage events. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of mileage providing companies(20) provide mileage in case that a customer(10) uses a specific product or a service. A mileage management unit(30) unitedly manages mileage of the customer(10) obtained through the mileage providing companies(20) in case that the customer(10) who became the member through a communication network makes a request. In addition, the management unit(30) informs the customer(10) of mileage points. A communication connecting unit connects the mileage providing companies(20) and the mileage management unit(30) in order to mutually exchange data.
