<p>According to the invention, a vibratory compacting machine includes a vibratory structure that includes an outer shaft having a first eccentrically weighted portion and an inner shaft having a second eccentrically weighted portion rotatable within the outer shaft. A hydraulic motor is controlled to rotate the shafts at a low speed when the vibratory structure is set for high amplitude vibrations and at a high speed when the vibratory strucure is set for low amplitude vibrations. The motor is controlled by structure to prevent high speed roation of the vibratory structure when the shafts are indexed for high amplitude vibration of the vibratory structure.</p> |
