The present invention is intended to provide a lifting apparatus for high-place work, which is easily accessible to an arbitrary high elevation. In the present invention, a moving supporting leg consists of a guiding case in the form of a hollow rectangular box with opposite ends open; plural elastic strips moving through the top opening from the lower opening of a guiding case and having a predetermined bending strength for forming a rectangular column; and connecting pieces for causing the formation of a rectangular column so as to be moved to a high place. One or more moving supporting legs are mounted on the loading box of a transporting means like a vehicle for the purpose of mobile convenience. Then, the elastic strips are caused to wind, by their one ends, on respective winding drums disposed rotatably on the loading box of the vehicle. By driving the supporting leg or winding drums through transmission of driving force generated by driving apparatuses, the driving force originating from the power source of the vehicle, the rectangular column being continuously formed by the respective elastic strips unwound from winding drums can be elevated to a desired high location, so that the desired work can be conducted conveniently and stably.
