<p>A method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire having a bead guard of excellent spew-less appearance free from pair, comprising the steps of positioning the tire formed surface side edges (13-1SE, 13-2iSE) of the divided surfaces (13-1S, 13-2iS) of side ring pieces (13-1, 13-2), positioned adjacent to each other, of a side ring (13) formed by divideding annularly in inner and outer radial directions with respect to the center axis of a split mold (11) at a position corresponding to a recessed portion (15) forming a bead guard (5) in order to vulcanizingly form a pneumatic tire (1) having the bead guard (5) of trapezoidal shape in cross section by using the split mold (11) having a pair of annular side rings (13) and a multiple-divided tread part forming segment (12) engageably formed integrally with the pair of annular side rings.</p> |
