Treatment or prophylaxis of migraine, by intranasal administration of aqueous spray solution of local anesthetic, preferably lidocaine hydrochloride

The use of aqueous spray solutions (A) of local anesthetic agents (I) is claimed in the treatment of migraine, where (A) contains 0.5 - 5 wt. % (I) and 0 - 5 wt. % conventional additives. An Independent claim is also included for spray solutions (A'): (1) for treating migraine, containing 0.5 - 5 (preferably 2 - 4) wt. % (I); (2) 0 - 5 wt. % conventional additives; (3) 0 - 5 wt. % odorants; and (4) additives (especially sodium chloride or glucose) for making the solution isotonic.
