The pistol handgrip has a setting mechanism allowing matching to the body characteristics of the user, with replacement of the handgrip without the required setting adjustment being lost, by using a coupling part (5) which is fixed by the setting mechanism and a cooperating clamp part (7), secured to the coupling part via screws (11). The coupling part with the attached clamp part is fitted in a machined space in a shaft (12) and secured against rotation via further screws (10).
