The production of high melting point waxes from polyolefins or polyolefin waste comprises the addition of the starting material in comminuted form to a cascade of cracker reactor units at 320-380 deg C and normal pressure with the exclusion of oxygen and constant through mixing to degrade to high molecular weight waxes (1000-10,000 g/mol.) followed by removal from the reactor system and processing.
