摘要 A process in which an olefin is oxidatively decomposed to produce the corresponding carbonyl compound. It is a simple efficient process in which a harmful substance such as ozone is not used and the reaction can be conducted in an aqueous medium. The process is characterized by oxidizing an olefin compound with hydrogen peroxide and an iron compound in an aqueous medium in the presence of a metal complex having a hydrophobic space, e.g., an M6L4-form, three-dimensional, cage- or bowl-shaped transition metal complex, such as a metal complex having 2,4,6-tris(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine, 2,4,6-tris(3-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine, or the like as a ligand, to thereby produce the corresponding carbonyl compound.
