Loudspeaker spherical cap has pairs of layers (2 and 3, 4 and 5) of approximately the same thickness. At least two of the opposite-lying layers are applied to the surfaces lying underneath and the geometry of the cap is determined by the equilibrium of the compressive strain in connection with the starting geometry and the mechanical properties of the middle layer (1). An Independent claim is also included for a process for producing the loudspeaker spherical cap comprising depositing layers 2 onwards by depositing from the gas phase under the action of a plasma onto a metallic foil (1). Preferably the layers are made of amorphous carbon which is similar to diamond. The layers additionally contain a metal.
