PURPOSE: A rack bush of a steering system for a vehicle is provided to reduce friction between a rack bar and a rack bush, and to minimize vibration and noise by assembling a rack housing and the rack bar firmly with making the inside and the outside of the rack bush of different materials. CONSTITUTION: A rack bush of a steering system for a vehicle is composed of a rack housing(20) formed with a hollow pipe; a rack bar(30) moved axially in the rack housing; and a rack bush(70) installed in the rack housing to guide the movement of the rack bar. The rack bush consists of a fixing part(71) contacted and fixed at the inside of the rack housing, and a guide part(73) contacted to the outside of the rack bar. The fixing part is made of material to be different from the material of the guide part. Friction between the rack bush and the rack bar is reduced with forming the guide part by high hardness plastic, and vibration and noise between the rack bar and the guide part are reduced with manufacturing the fixing part of rubber material. Assembling force is improved, and the reliability is improved with reducing noise and vibration.
