PURPOSE: A method for converting a character input mode and recording media capable of being read in a computer are provided to promptly correct a wrong character by clicking a mouse without inputting another character after deleting the wrong character. CONSTITUTION: A user connects to the Internet(S51). A text input window is displayed for enabling the user to input a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) address, information and a searching word(S52). A mouse cursor is moved for inputting a character to the text input window(S53). The first character mode displayer including an advertisement is displayed in a determined position of the text input window(S54). It is judged whether a character mode of the character mode displayer is a character mode which the user wants(S55). In case that the character mode is desired by the user, the user inputs a character to the text input window(S58). In case that the mode isn't desired by the user, the mode is converted into the mode desired by the user(S57). The character is inputted to the text input window(S58).
