PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having high sensitivity, less liable to fog, ensuring suppressed fogging and sensitivity change in storage, particularly suppressed fogging, fog density change and color tone deterioration in printout and having good image stability after printout. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material obtained by disposing at least one photosensitive layer containing a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, photosensitive silver halide and a binder on a base by coating, a halogen compound of formula (1a) and a compound of formula (2) are contained in at least one of the photosensitive layer and a non-photosensitive protective layer. Even when a compound of formula (1b) or a compound of formula (1c) is used in place of the compound of the formula (1a), similar effects are produced.
