PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure workability of working in plural housing spaces which are demarcated by parting the inside of a module main body with a parting material, in an optical module wherein an optical fiber housed in the module main body is terminated so as to be connector connected by an optical connector-adapter provided in the side of the casing shaped module main body. SOLUTION: In the optical module 20, freely opening and closing lids 31, 32 are provided in the side wall parts of both mutually opposed sides of the module main body 30, and working in the inside housing spaces is performed from both mutually opposed sides of the module main body 30.
