<p>An improved mast assembly (220a, 220b) for use on a sailing vessel having both an upper boom (250) and a lower boom (240) that allows a user to control the upper section (212) of the sail (200) independently or in conjunction with the lower section (210) of the sail (200). The mast of the assembly (220a, 220b) is positioned away from the sail (200) thereby utilizing a wire leading edge (202) resulting in decreased wind turbulence, increased efficiency of the sail (200) and greater sailing control over the rig and the entire vessel. <IMAGE></p> |
