PRUNUS PERSICA (L.) BATSCH EXTRACT-CONTAINING COMPOSITION FOR SKIN PROTECTION AGAINST ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION

PURPOSE: The titled composition containing a Prunus persica (L.) Batsch extract obtained from extraction of dried flowers of Prunus persica (L.) Batsch is provided, which can inhibit undesired activation of skin cells by ultraviolet radiation as well as absorbing ultraviolet rays and exhibits no skin irritation. CONSTITUTION: The skin-care composition contains 0.01 to 10% by weight of a Prunus persica (L.) Batsch extract, wherein the composition is obtained by adding an organic solvent or a mixture solvent of water to dried flowers of Prunus persica (L.) Batsch and then vacuum-concentrating the filtrate. The composition is applied to the skin in an amount of 0.1 to 100mg/cm¬2, based on the Prunus persica (L.) Batsch extract.
