PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color liquid crystal display device having a high aperture ratio in which a wide alignment margin is obtained without decreasing the quality. SOLUTION: The device has a first substrate on which a black matrix 12 of a color filter plate is formed into stripes and a second substrate on which a black matrix in stripes perpendicular to the above black matrix of the color filter plate is formed. Thus, the black matrix is replaced by black stripes and is obtained by separately manufacturing upper and lower substrates and then integrating, and thereby, the alignment margin is increased when the upper and lower substrates are integrated. |
