PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for easily aligning optical components of an illuminating optical system. SOLUTION: The illuminating optical system 100 has a lens array unit 140 with a first lens array 142 having a plurality of first small lenses arranged in a matrix shape, a second lens array 144 having a plurality of second small lenses respectively corresponding to the first small lenses and arranged in a matrix shape, and a light transmitting part 146 which connects the first and second lens arrays so as to guide light from the first lens array to the second lens array.
