PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type level gauge for easily adjusting the direction of a lead extracting hole of a case at assembling time and easily performing maintenance and inspection after installation. SOLUTION: In an installing member 27 installed on a side wall 1a of a vessel 1 and the case 26 for housing a circuit part 7 for detecting capacitance between a main electrode 2 and an earth electrode 4, both an installing part 25b of the installing member 27 to the case 26 and an installing part 26d of the case 26 to the installing member 27 are a cylindrical shaper, one 25b has a groove 25c on the outer periphery, and is rotatably inserted around the axis of a cylinder to the other 26d, and the other 26d has a screw 26f for pressing a bottom part of the groove 25c toward the axis of the cylinder.
