<p>PURPOSE: Provided are a virus of an infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) strain, a vaccine against infectious bursal disease (IBD), a method for the preparation of the virus, a method for the preparation of a vaccine and the use of the virus for the manufacture of a vaccine. CONSTITUTION: The virus of an infectious bursal disease virus strain is deposited at the European Collection of Cell Cultures, Salisbury, Wiltshine, SP4 OJG, United Kingdom under accession No. V00012609. It is characterized in that the virus is in a live form. A vaccine against infectious bursal disease, is characterized in that it comprises the above virus and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or a diluent. A method for the preparation of the virus is characterized in that the virus is cultured on a suitable substrate and harvested from the substrate.</p> |
