<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for melting waste capable of reducing an amount of consumption of fuel such as coke when the waste is directly melted without being incinerated. SOLUTION: The waste and the coke are supplied from the upper part of a melting furnace main body. In the method for melting the waste by supplying air or oxygen-enriched air from one step or a plurality of steps of tuyers 3 and 4, the coke with which the furnace is filled is reduced and burnt by the air or the oxygen-enriched by using a heating coil 10. Alternating current is supplied to the coke to inductively heat the coke so that the waste is melted.</p> |
