SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acid-stabilized calcium carbonate suspension and to a method of manufacturing paper with filler, which includes stage wherein acid-stabilized calcium carbonate suspension is added to wood pulp in the acid paper manufacture process and to paper with filler manufactured according to invention. Acid-stabilized calcium carbonate suspension with pH below 7 (preferably between 6 and 7) contains water, calcium carbonate, and acidic stabilizer prepared from water-soluble calcium salt, weak acid, and chelating agent capable of chelating calcium ion (mixed components are allowable). Acidic stabilizer is present in amounts sufficient to ensure elevated calcium ion concentration (from 1 mM to about 5 M, preferably between 1 and 120 mM) and acid pH.
