Device has first and second essentially flat elongated canalizing members interconnected by their all edges excepting one of their short edges, which form a channel between them. The first canalizing member includes gas-permeable matrix element for absorption of carbon dioxide. Device is also provided with indication means for visually detecting carbon dioxide and with film element with low absorption capacity for beta-emission, which is mounted or can be mounted between matrix element and beta-measurement device.
