PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a joint portion of a concrete trough for use in a water way, and to suppress secular deterioration of the joint portion. SOLUTION: The concrete trough has shelf portions formed at right and left edges thereof, which are formed so as to be thinner in width than surfaces of the other portions. When the troughs thus formed are used, a thin sealing material is spread over the shelf portions of the adjacent troughs, and the entire region of the joint connection portion is coated with a primer from above the sealing material. Then, a resin material with elasticity is applied to the primer so as to have a predetermined thickness, and thereafter a mesh sheet formed of a material with low stretch properties is arranged on the resin material, followed by applying a resin material with elasticity to the mesh sheet so as to have a predetermined thickness.
