HAND-OFF METHOD FOR SUPPORTING UPLINK SYNCHRONOUS TRANSMISSION SCHEME IN RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A hand-off method for supporting a uplink synchronous transmission scheme in a radio communication system is provided to support soft/hard hand-off of a terminal supporting the uplink synchronous transmission scheme based upon mode switching between a USTS mode and a non-USTS mode. CONSTITUTION: According to a signal measurement result from a mobile station, a control station decides soft hand-off and mode switching, and switches a USTS(Uplink Synchronous Transmission Scheme) mode of the mobile station into a non-USTS mode(401-409). The control part performs soft hand-off to the mobile station(410-423). According to a signal measurement result for mode switching from the mobile station, the control station switches the non-USTS mode of the mobile station into the USTS mode(424-430).
