PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand readout device with an autofocus function, an autofocus method, and a distance measuring method, capable of realizing the device in inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: The hand readout device having an imaging means for optically reading out a readout target image is composed of a light beam irradiation means for irradiating light beams forming a specified angle to an optical axis of a lens system of the imaging means; a displacement amount calculating means for finding the displacement amount to the optical axis in the image position of the light beams; and a control means for controlling the position of a focal point by moving the lens system or an imaging element in the optical axis direction by using the displacement amount found with the displacement amount calculating means as autofocus information, The light beams are jointly used as the light beams for calculating the displacement amount and guide light indicating the readout position and range of the readout target. |
