摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum piezoelectric element as a source for driving an injector. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric element generates driving force for the injector and is formed by alternately stacking a plurality of piezoelectric layers 11, which extend according to applied voltage, and internal electrode layers 21, 22 for supplying the applied voltage. Each of the piezoelectric layers 11 includes voids 61, 611-613. When measured along a laminated direction, a total thickness of the voids 61, 611-613 included in each one of the piezoelectric layers 11 is no more than one-third of a thickness of the piezoelectric layer 11 that is measured along the laminated direction, and a thickness of each one of the voids 61, 611-613 is no more than 50 μm when measured along the laminated direction.
