PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kerosene residual quantity detecting device capable of detecting the almost same residual oil quantity regardelss of the tank depth and commonly usable for a tank having a different dimensional shape. SOLUTION: In the constitution having a fixing part 2 installed and fixed on the upper side of a kerosene tank 7, a telescopic support part 3 integrally formed in the fixing part 2 and arranged in the tank 7, a detecting part 4 installed in the support part 3 and detecting a residual oil quantity by detecting a liquid level of kerosene and a detecting part height adjusting mechanism 5 having one end landed on a tank bottom surface and capable of holding the detecting part 4 in a residual quantity detecting position L1 set from the bottom surface of the tank 7, the residual oil quantity can be surely detected in the residual quantity detecting position L1 set from the bottom surface of the tank 7.
