PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal fan such as a turbo fan having a shroud in which the exfoliate flow on the side with a negative pressure surface of the region nearer the shroud is reduced and emission of exfoliate noises originating from interference with the main stream is reduced. SOLUTION: The centrifugal fan is composed of a main plate 14 driven into rotation, a shroud 15 having an air suction hole, and a plurality of blades 16... provided between the main plate 14 and shroud 15, wherein exfoliation is suppressed by providing a penetration passage S for penetrative flow of the air flow from the side with the pressure surface 16c toward the negative pressure surface 16d in the shroud side region of each blade 16... where the centrifugal force is unlikely to act thereon.
