PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce 'coloring' and 'a lateral stroke' and to reduce also 'brightness unevenness' by reducing wiring resistance of leader parts of a common wiring to suppress the fluctuation of common electric potential. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display is provided with leader parts 35a1, 35a2, 37a1, 37a2, 38a1 and 38a2 which consist of a metal film extremely low in transmittance of light radiated by a backlight and are formed so as to nearly fill up gaps between blocks adjoining along a side of a display region 30 and display region 30 facing parts of which are connected with the common wiring 29 and leader parts 35b1, 35b2, 37b1, 37b2, 38b1 and 38b2 which consist of the metal film and is formed so as to nearly fill up the region enclosed by straight lines formed by extending the outside parts of blocks 311, 313, 321, 323, 331 and 333 and four sides of the display region 30 to end part sides of a glass substrate 21 and display region 30 facing parts of which are connected with the common wirings 29.
