PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling efficiency of a pump swash plate in a swash plate type hydraulic pump in a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: In this hydrostatic continuously variable transmission, a hydraulic closed circuit formed by a high pressure oil passage 53 for feeding operating fluid from the hydraulic pump P to the hydraulic motor M side and a low pressure oil passage 52 for feeding operating fluid from the hydraulic motor M side to the hydraulic pump P side is constructed between the hydraulic pump P and the hydraulic motor M. Engagement parts 12b, 162 where aligning parts 173, 174 of a jig 171 abut in assembling are formed on the pump swash plate 12 and the plate 10 of the hydraulic pump P.
