PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine stop control device to stop an engine for an automobile in a state that fresh air is introduced in a gas passage during a stop and the engine is brought into an excellent state during starting. SOLUTION: The engine stop control device comprises a stop detecting means to detect stop operation of an engine; and an ISC valve to control an idle rotation speed to a target rotation speed. When stop operation of the engine is detected, the ISC valve is fully opened and an engine rotation speed is increased. When it exceeds a set target rotation speed, a fuel injection control means and an ignition timing control means are stopped. Since, after the engine rotation speed is increased once, the fuel injection control means and the ignition timing control means are stopped, a pumping amount can be increased and reverse flowing exhaust gas can be scavenged, and fresh air is operated during next starting.
