PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-color forming photosensitive and pressure sensitive recording material less liable to a change in photographic characteristics even under such severe conditions as high temperature and high humidity during the time from the end of production to image formation, that is, in the storage of the raw sensitive material and to provide a method for producing the recording material and an image forming method for the recording material. SOLUTION: In the self-color forming photosensitive and pressure sensitive recording material with photosensitive microcapsules housing a dye precursor, a photoinitiator and a polymerizable compound and a developer in a monolayer or multilayer state on the base, the developer is used as microcapsules obtained by coating the developer as a core with a polymer shell. In a dry image forming method, the recording material is imagewise exposed and pressure is applied to the whole recording material to imagewise break the microcapsules and to form a dye image. |
