PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a molding ability of a backing plate material and provide a dry type construction body advantageous to waterproofness and its construction method by improving the shape of a cutout arranged for removing rainwater and the like accumulating in the upper part of a projection streak in the backing plate material before a construction material such as a tile is engaged and installed to the surface of the backing plate material. SOLUTION: In this dry type construction backing plate material, the cutout arranged in a locking part in the upper end of the projection bar for drip is formed so as to cancel an engaging face with the tile.
