PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a balcony, which is not counted in a floor area ratio in the Building Standard Law and has broad width. SOLUTION: The floor face of the balcony 6 for a lower-layer dwelling unit is overhung the side outer than that of the balcony 6a for an adjacent upper-layer dwelling unit, and a wall 5 partitioning the balcony for the lower- layer dwelling unit and an indoor section is positioned on the side inner than the external end of the floor face of the balcony for the upper-layer floor, thus constituting the balcony for the apartment house.
