DESULPHURIZER FOR HOT METAL USING IRONMAKING SLAG

PURPOSE: A desulphurizer for hot metal using ironmaking slag is provided which has superior desulfurization capability by properly treating the ironmaking slag so as to use the non-reacted interface of ironmaking slag a total amount of which has been discarded. CONSTITUTION: In a desulphurizer for hot metal using ironmaking slag which is generated as a byproduct in an iron mill, the desulfurizer comprises 40 to 70 wt.% of CaO; 10 to 40 wt.% of SiO2; 50 to 90 wt.% of ironmaking slag in which particle sizes are adjusted to 40 mm or less; and 10 to 50 wt.% of CaO, wherein a ratio of CaO/SiO2 is 3.0 or more.
