PURPOSE: A flat glass support structure of color picture tube is provided to form a support body inside of CRT to prevent a face plate and a rear plate from being deformed. CONSTITUTION: A face plate(1) is a square shape and flat. A fluorescent screen(3) is deposited on total inner surface of the face plate(1). A rear plate(2) includes a plurality of apertures(2a) corresponding to the face plate and a plurality of funnels(4) mounted around the apertures(2). An outer side wall(5) maintains the inside in vacuum by surrounding the outside of the space between the plates. A plurality of electron guns(7) are mounted on a neck part of the funnel and emit an electron beam toward the screen. A separate deflection part(8) is mounted on the neck part and controls a deflection of the electron beam emitted from the electron guns(7). A support body(12) is installed to prevent a deformation of the plates due to the difference of pressure between the inside of the picture tube and the outside of the picture tube.
