PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type construction backing plate material reducing deterioration in strength of a backing plate material and preventing a backlash of a tile in its construction. SOLUTION: In a locking part receiving a hooking engagement part arranged on the back face of a construction material such as the tile from the lower side, cutouts, each of which is opened forward from the bottom face of the backing plate material so as to cancel an engagement face with the engagement part of the construction material, are arranged at certain intervals in the projection bar frontage direction. The vertical width of the cutout is a half or less of the vertical overall width of the projection bar and/or the frontage directional width of the cutout is one third or less of the frontage interval between the adjacent cutouts.
