PURPOSE: A convergence estimation method of a monitor is provided to accurately estimate a convergence of a monitor by considering distance between beams, symmetry, and tones of colors and to improve the quality of a convergence by adjusting and testing a convergence via a device applied with an estimating function. CONSTITUTION: A convergence estimation method of a monitor comprises the steps of measuring distances between an R(Red) beam and a G(Green) beam, between a B(Blue) beam and the G beam, and between the R beam and the B beam(S11), sampling the longest distance among the RG distance, BG distance, and RB distance(S14,S17), calculating RMS values of the longest distance(S15,S16), and deciding the defectiveness of convergence by comparing the RMS values with a predetermined value(S18). Therefore, a convergence is accurately estimated by the sensibility of a user.
