PURPOSE: A side impact preventing device is provided to protect an occupant from a door panel invading the room of a vehicle in a side-on collision by compressing a protruded portion and fixing the door panel with a side seal outer panel via a fixing unit protruded by the compressed air in the compressed protruded portion. CONSTITUTION: A side impact preventing device comprises an auxiliary unit(10) having a hollow core and a protruded portion(15), a cylindrical fixing unit(20) protruding by the air in the protruded portion, and a hole(30) inserted with the fixing unit in a collision. A fixing ledge(25) is formed on the circumference of the fixing unit. The outer face of the fixing ledge is adhered to the inner face of the auxiliary unit. The shock generating due to a side-on collision is transmitted to the protruded portion of the auxiliary unit. The protruded portion is compressed, and the air in the protruded portion flows. The fixing unit is protruded downwardly by the air pressure. The fixing unit pushes out a rubber packing(40) in the hole. The fixing tool is inserted to the hole. Therefore, invasion with a door panel is prevented.
