SYSTEM FOR MEDIATING PRINTING ON NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize practical printing between a client and a printer which are connected to a network. SOLUTION: A mediation system which mediates printing is structured by providing a server which is connected to the network. The client sends print data and an identification number specifying a printer as an output destination to the mediation system. The mediation system converts the print data into PDF and outputs it to the printer corresponding to the identification number. On a printer side, the PDE is converted into intrinsic control data of the printer. The identification number is displayed on the printer itself and periodically changed. A user needs to make a print request when nearby the printer, so the owner of the printer is restrained from having disadvantages due to an insincere print request.
