PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display body giving a good high definition printed image and, having satisfactory luminiferous functions. SOLUTION: A clocking means with the short hand 4 and the long hand 5 aligned in a turnable state is disposed on the surface of a display body 2 which is put in a case to form the objective timepiece 1. A reflecting layer 7 having high light-reflecting function is disposed on the surface of a metallic discoid substrate 6. A luminance layer 8, consisting essentially of at least one of a fluorescent pigment and a light storage pigment and an organic binder, is disposed on the surface of the reflecting layer 7. A water-base ink receiving layer 9 consisting essentially of at least one pigment selected from a fluorescent pigment, a light storage pigment and a light diffusion pigment and a hydrophilic binder is disposed on the surface of the luminance layer 8. A colored layer 10 is formed on the receiving layer 9 through ink jet printing, by which an image is easily altered and high definition printing can be carried out. High luminance and a high definition printed image are obtained, and expressiveness and decorativeness can be enhanced.
