PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having high sensitivity, free of unevenness in development and high density. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material with a photosensitive layer containing photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions and a binder on the base and a protective layer disposed on the photosensitive layer by coating, a contrast enhancer and at least one compound of formula (1) are contained.
