PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable prober at a low cost adaptable to an electrode wiring with narrow pitch without requiring a connecting member for the connection of a probe needle to a conducting cord. SOLUTION: The conducting cord 2 to be connected to each terminal of the terminal 1 of an inspection device for inspecting the electric characteristic of a matter to be inspected 7 and the probe needle 3 to abut on the electrode pad 7a of the matter 7 are integrally formed of a copper-silver alloy wire rod which is the continued same material or the like. This wire rod is further coated with polyurethane or the like for insulation. The insulating coating is peeled in the tip of the probe needle 3, and the tip is plated with gold, rhodium or the like to ensure the electric conductivity. The rear end of the probe needle 3 is adhesively fixed to the through-hole of a first guide plate 4 consisting of an insulating material, and the tip part thereof is slidably positioned to the through-hole of a second guide plate 5.
