PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a land pump capable of heightening the strength, enhancing the corrosion-resistant properties and rustproof properties and reducing the cost of a suction casing and a discharge bracket, assuring good workmanship in the bolt and nut fastening of a piping mounting flange with the suction casing, compacting the construction of an intermediate casing, solving the problem of the inverter installing space and large-sized structuring of a pump fitted with inverter, and establishing a high accuracy and high efficiency in the pumping operation. SOLUTION: The suction casing 20 is provided on the suction side 19 of a trunk casing in which impellers 12... are accommodated, and the body 24 of the casing 20 is made of a material having a strength required of a structural member, and a first 26 and a second suction cover 28 of the suction casing 20 are formed from sheet material having an anti-rusting characteristic required of a liquid contacting member.
